Handcare doesn’t have to be hard. Like any good fitness program, it requires consistency to see results.
Heres a simple protocol that I use to keep my hands model ready.
STEP 1: USE PUMICE STICK
A pumice stick is a fancy term for sandpaper on a stick. The goal when pumicing is to smooth out the tough areas of the skin. A light, gentle back and forth is all you need.
STEP 2: CUTICLE EXCESS SKIN
This will make the hangnails, skin tags, and true excess skin is removed easily. Anything loose or standing up is what you nip. Cut anything that is dry, may tear, or snag.
STEP 3: LATHER WITH LOTION
Many times the skin tears because the skin is excessively dry. This is exacerbated by chalk abusers. Moisturizing the skin gives it the pliability needed to stretch when hanging on a bar or lifting a barbell.
STEP 4: SLAP YOURSELF
If you follow this protocol you’ll love the way your palms feel so much you’ll want to slap yourself! You don’t believe me, try it yourself!!
