Hi Danny,

Thanks for reaching out to me to answer this question for you.

Here are things that come to mind:

  1. Self-awareness. Everyone has a preference on what time of day s best for them. Many just haven’t stopped to think about it. What time of day do you write the best? We have all a window of a few hours. Block that time of day out everyday. This is a non-negotiable.
  2. Consistency. Write no matter what. You become great at that which you do most often. No every day is going to be great. There’s no such thing in any industry. The act itself makes you better. The struggle is what makes it great.
  3. Have fun. What do you enjoy writing about. For me its about business and helping other business owners out. Your interest is the best indicator of effort and where you will spend most of your time.
  4. Patience. If you ever want to get paid as a writer recognize that you will have to spend years mastering your craft, voice, length, and style. Enjoy the process! Write because you love it. Not becuase you think you’re going to get rich. If you are patient enough opportunities WILL come.

Hope that helps!
