“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.”
From my very first day as an entrepreneur, I’ve felt the only mission worth pursuing in business is to make people’s lives better. In business, I’ve done that every day for eight years by helping those in NEED improve their overall health through physical activity.
Personally, this point of view came from a belief I had as a little kid. When I was about ten years old, I would rub my pillow at night with the back of my palm for an extra day of life that I hoped God would give to me. I did that for years wishing that I had accumulated enough strokes onto my pillow to provide a long happy life. Looking back it’s crazy how precious I perceived life to be at such an early age.
It’s my mission every day when I wake up to take the necessary steps to continue to create a great life for me and my family while helping as many other people along the way. I do that through financial assistance, moral support, or most importantly to me by the giving of my time.
I also believe that the more successful I become, the greater the responsibility I have to help others in need. Ironically by helping others achieve their dreams I’ve been able to achieve mine along the way.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned over the last few years is that real happiness doesn’t come from getting everything you want. It comes from sharing what you have with other people.
