It doesn’t matter what you know if nobody knows you exist
Sure word-of-mouth might get you there but you’ll have better luck watching paint dry before you ever become profitable enough to make your passion a full-time job or one that ever provides a living for you and your family.
I don’t understand why more people aren’t posting often online. It’s as if they are hoping that social media will go away. That isn’t the case and it’s causing them a lot of money. Worst than that they have no idea it’s happening to them.
The quickest way to build credibility is by getting online. Creating content that matters. And most importantly doing it every single day.
Go meet your audience where they are hanging out. Be everywhere. Shoot Live Videos on Facebook, take eye catching pictures on Instagram, shoot some video clips on Youtube, and get some audio podcasts on Soundcloud.
Is your voice really that terrible? Write a blog post then. But do something!
My business and street cred continues to grow the more content I create. People choose to do business with me becuase they trust me. I’ve built that trust on social media one post and upload at a time.
I urge you to do the same.
If you want to be doing this thing you love so much 5-10-15 years from now you better get the ball rolling.
Social Media waits for no-one.
